The Firduo 162mm 2-Blade Folding Propeller is a precision-machined aluminum alloy propeller engineered for eFoil, kayak, and RC boat applications. The folding blade design minimizes drag when the motor is off β critical for eFoil gliding and efficient hydrodynamic performance. Aluminum construction ensures strength, balance, and corrosion resistance in both saltwater and freshwater environments.
Designed specifically for the threaded shaft of the Firduo 65162 motor, this propeller is the recommended pairing for 65162-based eFoil and electric surfboard builds.Β

Q1: Why use a folding propeller instead of a fixed propeller?
A folding propeller offers significantly lower drag when the motor is off β the blades fold flat against the motor body, reducing water resistance during gliding. This is especially important for eFoil and hydrofoil builds where efficient gliding between power bursts extends ride time and improves the riding experience. Fixed propellers create constant drag even when not spinning, reducing glide efficiency.
Q2: Is this propeller compatible with motors other than the 65162?
This propeller is designed specifically for the threaded shaft of the Firduo 65162 motor. Compatibility with other motors depends on the shaft diameter, thread pitch, and thread direction. If you have a different motor, contact us with your motor's shaft specifications and we'll advise on compatibility. Do not force-fit a propeller onto a non-matching shaft.
Q3: How to determine whether a propeller is CW or CCW?
When viewed from behind the board (water-facing side), a CW propeller rotates clockwise under power and a CCW propeller rotates counter-clockwise. This is a CW propeller. Most single-thruster eFoil builds use CW.Β
Q4: Can I use this propeller in saltwater?
Yes. The propeller is made from anodized aluminum alloy which provides good corrosion resistance in both saltwater and freshwater. After saltwater use, rinse the propeller and motor shaft with fresh water to remove salt residue. Periodically inspect the propeller hub and shaft threads for corrosion and apply a thin coat of marine-grade anti-seize compound to the threads to prevent galvanic corrosion between the aluminum propeller and motor shaft.
Q5: What if the propeller comes loose during use?
During installation, it is recommended to apply a medium-strength threadlocker and tighten the nut. Alternatively, use a lock nut for secure fastening.
