Combining a PC V0 flame-retardant housing, silicone sealing ring, stainless steel screws, and a pre-installed FD05-5A IP68 waterproof connector, it provides a complete waterproof solution for eFoil remote receivers, ROV control modules, and marine RC applications.

  1. Select variant β€” PWM for PPM/PWM ESCs (3-wire: GND+VCC+signal); UART for VESC-based ESCs (enables VX3 telemetry). Check your ESC manual if unsure.
  2. Install receiver β€” Remove screws, open box. Place receiver in cavity (64.2Γ—33Γ—33mm). Connect Dupont 2.54-3P (PWM) or PH2.0-4P (UART) pigtail. Ensure no wires pinch the lid seal.
  3. Route external cable β€” Connect ESC signal cable to the external FD05-5A plug. Cable OD must be 4–6.5mm for seal to grip.
  4. Seal the box β€” Verify silicone ring sits flat in lid groove. Close lid, tighten screws in cross pattern. Do not over-tighten.
  5. Mate connector β€” Align plug and socket, push together, rotate nut clockwise until firm.
  6. Mount box β€” Secure inside board away from ESC/motor heat. Ensure connector is accessible for disconnection.
  7. Test before sealing board β€” Verify receiver binding and throttle response. For eFoil/ROV, submerge sealed box 30 min to confirm IP68 integrity.

Q1: PWM vs UART β€” which to choose?
PWM (3-core, Dupont 2.54-3P) for standard PPM/PWM receivers β€” basic throttle control. UART (4-core, PH2.0-8P-4P) for VESC ESCs β€” enables VX3 telemetry (voltage, current, temperature). Use UART with FD75200 VESC + VX3 remote for best experience.

Q2: Will my receiver fit?
Internal cavity is 64.2Γ—33Γ—33mm. Most compact RC receivers fit. Measure before ordering β€” receiver must fit without forcing the lid.

Q3: Does IP68 hold after repeated opening?
Yes, if the silicone ring is undamaged and correctly seated each time. Inspect ring before each re-seal. Replace if worn or if box no longer seals flush.

Q4: Salt water / marine use?
Yes. PC body, stainless screws, and gold-plated contacts are corrosion-resistant. Rinse with fresh water after salt water use and inspect periodically.

Q5: Sealed box but losing signal?
PC is RF-transparent and should not block 2.4GHz. Check: (1) antenna not coiled against metal; (2) route antenna along box wall; (3) if inside carbon fiber/metal board, reposition box closer to surface or use antenna extension.
