The Firduo 120A High Current Waterproof Connector is a heavy-duty IP68-rated connector system designed for panel-mount and enclosure installations in electric hydrofoil, eFoil, electric surfboard, e-bike, and marine power systems. Using "Sprtac" series wire spring technology, the connector delivers large current carrying capacity with reliable, low-resistance contact β critical for sustained 120A loads.
Available in two mounting configurations: Round (Nut Socket / TP ZM) for cylindrical panel cutouts, and Square (TP ZF) for rectangular panel or enclosure installations. Each configuration offers two variants (β and β‘) for different wire entry or orientation options. The threaded anti-loose connection structure prevents accidental disconnection under vibration and mechanical stress.

The Round TP ZM variant mounts through a circular panel cutout and is secured with a nut from the rear. Ideal for waterproof enclosure walls, board panels, and cylindrical housing installations. Two sub-variants (Round β and Round β‘) offer different wire entry configurations.

The Square TP ZF variant mounts through a rectangular panel cutout and is secured with screws or clips. Ideal for flat panel installations, enclosure lids, and rectangular housing cutouts. Two sub-variants (Square β and Square β‘) offer different wire entry configurations.

β οΈ Cables not included. Ensure wire gauge is rated for required continuous current (typically 6AWGβ10AWG silicone wire).. Select Round β / Round β‘ or Square β / Square β‘ based on your panel cutout shape and wire entry direction.
Q1: What is the difference between Round β /β‘ and Square β /β‘, and how do I choose?
The Round variants (TP ZM) mount through a circular panel cutout and are secured with a rear nut β ideal for round holes drilled in enclosure walls or board panels. The Square variants (TP ZF) mount through a rectangular cutout and are secured with screws β ideal for flat panel or enclosure lid installations. Within each shape, β and β‘ differ in wire entry direction (different cable gland orientation) β refer to the dimension drawings above to confirm which fits your enclosure layout.
Q2: What is the difference between this connector and the TP ZX Plug Socket?
The TP ZM / TP ZF (this product) are panel-mount connectors β one half is permanently installed through an enclosure wall or panel, and the mating plug connects from outside. The TP ZX is an inline cable-to-cable connector β both halves are on cables with no panel mounting. Choose TP ZM/ZF for enclosure installations; choose TP ZX for inline cable connections.
Q3: Is this connector truly IP68? Can I use it for continuous underwater connections?
Yes. The connector is rated IP68 β fully sealed for continuous underwater operation beyond 1 meter depth. To achieve the IP68 rating, the panel seal must be fully compressed during installation (rear nut or screws fully tightened), the cable entry nut must be fully tightened around the wire jacket, and the wire OD must match the cable entry specification. A loose panel seal or cable gland will compromise the IP68 rating.
Q4: What wire gauge should I use for 120A?
For 120A continuous current, use a minimum of 8AWG silicone wire. For longer cable runs (300mm+) or peak currents above 120A, 6AWG is recommended to reduce voltage drop and heat buildup. Silicone insulation is preferred over PVC for flexibility and heat resistance in eFoil and marine applications. Ensure the wire jacket OD fits through the connector's cable entry before cutting to length.
Q5: Do I need an anti-spark switch with this connector?
Yes β strongly recommended. When connecting a high-current battery to an ESC, the capacitors inside the ESC draw a large inrush current that causes arcing at the connector contacts. This arcing damages the contacts over time and can cause connection failure. The Firduo 200A Anti-Spark SwitchΒ eliminates this arcing by pre-charging the ESC capacitors before full current flows through the connector, significantly extending connector service life.
