🛠️ Setup Guide

1. Check voltage compatibility — confirm your battery is within 4S–20S (14–84V). For T2000 full-power output, 12S–16S with ≥100A burst discharge is recommended.
2. Mount the T2000 thruster — secure to your board's fin box or custom bracket. Route the 1300mm motor cable away from the propeller; ensure clear water flow around the 360° inlet.
3. Connect ESC → Thruster — plug the 3× 8.0mm gold bullet connectors into the Manatee 100 Pro phase outputs (A-B-C). Rotation direction can be reversed in VESC Tool — no rewiring required.
4. Connect ESC → Battery — use a waterproof connector rated ≥100A continuous (e.g. Firduo 120A IP68 connector). Verify voltage is within range before powering on.
5. Pair VX3 Remote — power on ESC first, then remote. Follow the VX3 pairing procedure in the user manual.
6. Configure via VESC Tool (recommended) — run motor auto-detection to optimize current limits and throttle curves for the T2000. Our support team can provide a pre-tuned config file on request.
7. Water test — start at low throttle (0.5 kW / ~13 KGF) in calm water. Check all connections are dry and secure before each session. Gradually increase power as you confirm stable operation.

❓ FAQ

Q1: How is this 3.7KW kit different from the 2KW kit?
The key difference is the thruster: this kit includes the T2000 (2000W rated / 3700W peak / 32 KGF), while the 2KW kit uses the TUNA-TT160 thruster (1500W / 18.5 KGF). The T2000 delivers 73% more thrust at rated power — It can provide higher speed. The ESC (Manatee 100 Pro) and remote (VX3) are identical across both kits.

Q2: Do I need to configure the ESC before use?
The kit works out of the box with default VESC settings for most builds. However, we strongly recommend running motor auto-detection via VESC Tool (free, PC/Mac/mobile) to optimize performance for the T2000's higher current range. Our support team can provide a pre-tuned config file on request. Bluetooth connectivity is also supported for wireless configuration.

Q3: What battery do I need, and is it included?
The kit supports 4S–20S (14–84V). For T2000 full-power eFoil use, a 12S–16S LiPo or Li-ion pack with minimum 52A continuous discharge (100A burst recommended) is ideal. Battery is not included. The Firduo FD13S5P (5C, 20AH, 936Wh) fully waterproof battery is compatible — contact us for build-specific recommendations.

Q4: Is the ESC truly waterproof? What about the connectors?
The Manatee 100 Pro ESC body is waterproof to 5 meters depth. The wire end (where cables exit) is not fully sealed — ensure this area is above the waterline or use waterproof silicone sealant / waterproof connectors at the cable exit point. The VX3 remote is IP67 rated (submersible to 1m for 30 min). The T2000 motor is fully sealed for continuous underwater operation.

Q5: Can I use this kit for an ROV, AUV, or non-surfboard application?
Yes. The T2000 thruster's wide voltage range and standard 8.0mm bullet connectors make it suitable for ROV, AUV, and USV applications. The UART/CAN interface on the Manatee 100 Pro supports autonomous or remotely operated vehicle integration. The T2000 KIT2/KIT3 offers an aluminum alloy bracket option. For SUP or kayak use, the fin version is recommended as it is compatible with standard fin boxes.
